I am not sure how it came to be September so quickly. And I cannot believe that I will be 40 years old one month from today. Normally, I do not broadcast my birthday. But dang, 40 is a major milestone and I don't want y'all to miss it. Ha! So, assuming and hoping it is God's will, in 30ish days I'll be saying goodbye to another decade and welcoming a fresh, more mature one.
Wow.
Can somebody just say "wow" for me?!
I'm excited. I do not dread 40 in the slightest. I have a 21 year old son for goodness sake....and I need to be 40. Ya hear me? It's a good thang.

You amaze me. As you know, I turned 40 recently. Well, pretty recently. Back in April, anyway. You mean you're not even a teeny weeny bit bummed to be leaving your 30s behind?

Girrlll - I turned 40 11 months and 12 days days ago - and it's been a FUN year! p.s. our birthdays are 6 days apart. I'm 9/27! Happy Birthday month to me! I'll get started on Happy Melissa B'day month on Oct 1 :)
"Let the countdown begin," huh? You know what that means, don't you? Having worked 2 years at Kennedy Space Center, I'll give you a tip. We used to count "39...38...37...etc." So next year is NOT 40 - it's 38! Nicer? That's why I tell people I'm 20 now.
Or you could do what my aunt Eve did. She turned 39 . . . and then 39 again . . .and again. . .all the way to 91!
